الملخص
This study focuses on presupposition, a linguistic phenomenon that holds utmost importance in communication. In addition, it analyses three other linguistic phenomena that are closely related to presupposition: entailment, conversational implicature, and iqtidā. The study discusses presupposition, clarifying its concept, types, and triggers. It also briefly traces its historical background and highlights its characteristics or properties with illustrative examples. In addition, it discusses each of the other three linguistic phenomena, clarifying their concepts, types, and characteristics or properties. It provides illustrative examples for each phenomenon, to understand their relation to presupposition. Finally, the study concludes with a summary highlighting this work's significant points or results.
