This study aims to identify the reality of performing this function and the challenges faced by national economic institutions, including the Local Development Bank in Algeria, in light of the digital environment. We have relied on the comparative descriptive approach used to compare the conclusions from the reality of the archives department at the bank and what is stipulated in international laws regarding electronic archiving, through the use of the interview and observation tools and some official documents. The results of the study found the readiness of the Development Bank to transfer the electronic archive, and therefore the study recommends the need to automate the various archival processes and preparation before or at the beginning of the life cycle of the documents.
