Abstract

Abstract The right to physical integrity is a personal right that may not be violated under any circumstances, and may not be waived. It has been recognized by human rights declarations and international covenants in order to preserve human dignity in the first place, which inevitably affects how a person lives and how he deals with others, and thus, on society as a whole. Hence the importance of protecting the right to physical integrity at the international level, given that what is adopted at the international level will inevitably affect members of the international community, whether directly or indirectly. This is despite the current controversy surrounding the call by some for the necessity of amending the texts of international human rights law to be consistent with those who adopt the idea of physical freedom, for example, which may sometimes harm a person more than it benefits him, as it violates public order if left as it is. This is what we will discuss in this research paper.
