Ibn Khaldun considers human societies as political groups in the form of states where political organization is linked to the geographical characteristics of those groups, the economy, the level of urbanization, and finally, the degree of 'asabiyyah' (group solidarity). These are associated with three stages of state development (nomadism, urbanization, failure, and collapse) based on two main pillars: 'asabiyyah' and economic luxury. Both contribute to the development and urbanization of the state but also lead it to collapse, acting as a double-edged sword. 'Asabiyyah' refers to a type of intense enthusiasm that promotes supremacy and adherence to opinion manifested in national stances and religious views, fostering mutual support. It plays a role in rallying support around the ruler (the president). It activates the economic factor that builds cities and invests capital. Meanwhile, the state collapses once 'asabiyyah' disintegrates and the public loses trust in the president, due to his hoarding of wealth and monopolization in the face of deteriorating conditions of the subjects. This situation can be applied to Libya, an Arab state characterized by tribal regime dominance and widespread 'asabiyyah', where economic luxury, poorly leveraged, has led to the collapse of the state
