الملخص
ملخص :يخبرنا الدكتور عبد الرحمن بدوي في كتابه موسوعة المستشرقين بشكل دقيق ومستفيض عن نشاطات المستشرقين العلمية والفكرية، والذي يهمنا في هذه المداخلة تلك النشاطات المنصبة نحو الأدب العربي قديمه وحديثه دون باقي المنجزات الفكرية والعلمية والثقافية العربية: التراثية منها والحديثة؛ وعلى هذا الأساس حاولنا أن نستخرج من هذه الموسوعة جميع الجهود العلمية في الدراسة والكتابة والتأليف وحتى التحقيق والترجمة والنشر وجميع النشاطات والتفاعلات التي صدرت من المستشرقين حول هذا المنجز الأدبي بجميع أنواعه وأجناسه وفنونه الشعرية والنثرية ورتبناها في مباحث بحسب أنواعها وأجناسها (شعر، نثر، قصة، مقامة ، رحلة ، مسرحية ، مثل ، حكمة ، وصية ...) وبترتيب زمني لحياة هذا المستشرق أو ذاك لنرى مدي الأهمية والاهتمام بالأدب العربي، وعلى أي أجناس الأدب يركز المستشرقون أكثر، طبعا بحسب ما ورد في موسوعة المستشرقين لصاحبها الدكتور عبد الرحمن بدوي. Abstract Dr. Abdul Rahman Badawi, in his book "The Encyclopedia of Orientalists," meticulously and extensively elaborates on the scholarly and intellectual activities of Orientalists. Of interest to us in this discussion are those activities focused on ancient and modern Arabic literature, excluding other Arab intellectual, scientific, and cultural achievements, both traditional and contemporary. Based on this premise, we attempted to extract from this encyclopedia all the scholarly efforts in studying, writing, composing, investigating, translating, publishing, and all the activities and interactions that emanated from Orientalists regarding this literary achievement in all its forms and genres—poetic and prose. We categorized them into sections according to their types and genres (poetry, prose, short story, maqama, travelogue, play, proverb, wisdom, maqama, will, etc.) and arranged them chronologically according to the lives of these Orientalists to assess the importance and interest in Arabic literature. We also aimed to discern which literary genres Orientalists focused on the most, based on the contents of the Encyclopedia of Orientalists authored by Dr. Abdul Rahman Badawi
