Constitutional And Legal Approaches Forcombating Corruption In Algeria

Authors : Abbas Amel .

Abstract

Corruption, a pervasive phenomenon, manifests globally across nations, transcending boundaries of integrity and developmental stages. The prevalence and manifestation of corruption vary markedly among countries, influenced primarily by the robustness of their respective anti-corruption frameworks and the efficacy of regulatory mechanisms. In recognition of this, international law significantly prioritizes the combat against corrupt practices. In alignment with global directives, Algeria has embarked on an anti-corruption crusade, epitomized by the enactment of Law 06-01, which underwent substantial revisions under Law 22-08. This pivotal amendment heralded the establishment of the Supreme Authority for Transparency, Prevention, and Combating Corruption, marking a significant stride in Algeria's legal arsenal against corruption.
