Authors : Abderrahmane Djahida . Mebitil Nawal .

Abstract

The present paper investigates students’ and teachers’ attitudes towards using MOOCs for language learning and teaching. To this end, the researchers conducted a descriptive study using students’ questionnaires and teachers’ interviews as the primary research tools to collect data. Given the Covid-19 crisis, Convenience sampling is deployed for this research. The results indicate that EFL students and teachers have positive attitudes towards online learning courses; their readiness to use MOOCs is still moderately low. Also, it is found that there is a correlation between MOOCs adoption and PU with PEoU. ICT competence, ICT preparedness, technological expertise, and ICT training directly impact users’ attitudes. Students’ and teachers’ awareness of MOOCs potentials needs to be further developed to meet the 21st digital world’s requirements.
