The Effect Of Organizational Climate On Job Performance In Public Industrial Organizations: Case Study Of The Arsenal And Lifting Equipment Company Somatel

Authors : Tolba Sabrina .

Abstract

This study examines the impact of organizational climate on job performance in a public sector industrial organization. A descriptive and analytical quantitative approach was employed. . Data were collected from 100 employees using a structured questionnaire measuring nine dimensions of organizational climate alongside key indicators of job performance. The internal consistency of the measurement scales was assessed using Cronbach’s alpha, and multiple regression analysis was conducted to evaluate the predictive effects of climate dimensions. The results indicate that organizational climate significantly influences job performance, explaining 47 per cent of the variance (R² = 0.47). Nevertheless, the impact of different dimensions is not uniform. Organizational structure, communication, incentive systems and technological support all show significant positive effects on performance outcomes. In turn, leadership style and participation in decision making show no statistically significant effects in the studied organizational context. These findings underscore the contextual nature of climate and performance dynamics in public sector industry environments. By identifying the specific effects of each dimension, this study enriches the theoretical understanding of organizational climate and provides management recommendations based on evidence-based data to improve employee performance through context-targeted and tailored organizational interventions.
