Abstract This study aimed to analyze the impact of digitizing psychological scales on the psychometric properties of psychological tools, focusing on the issue of psychometric fairness and equivalence between paper-based and digital versions, and how this reflects on the efficiency of diagnostic decision-making. Furthermore, it sought to verify the existence of statistical differences between the paper and digital administrations of an anxiety scale on a sample of 60 university students. The results revealed no statistically significant differences between the two modes of administration, while recording a high correlation and good reliability, indicating a relative equivalence between the two mediums. The study concludes that the digitization of psychological scales represents a significant development in the field of psychological measurement; however, it requires rigorous methodological control to ensure psychometric fairness and to avoid potential biases in the measurement process and diagnostic decision-making".
