The Euro-Mediterranean region constitutes a strategically significant space characterized by complex patterns of political, economic, security, and social interdependence between its northern and southern shores. In the context of contemporary global transformations, Euro-Mediterranean relations are increasingly influenced by profound changes in the international system, emerging geopolitical rivalries, regional crises, transnational challenges, and shifting patterns of regional cooperation. The study addresses the problem of the growing gap between the potential represented by shared interests and interdependence among Mediterranean actors and the limitations of existing mechanisms of cooperation and regional integration. The significance of the study lies in highlighting the need to reconsider prevailing approaches to Euro-Mediterranean relations in response to the changing geopolitical and strategic environment. The findings indicate that the future of Euro-Mediterranean cooperation remains contingent upon the capacity of regional actors to overcome political and structural disparities, strengthen mutual interdependence, and develop more balanced and inclusive mechanisms of cooperation.
