This study analyzes the impact of fiscal policy on economic growth in Algeria during the period (1990-2024), by focusing on its basic tools such as government spending and tax revenues, in addition to foreign direct investment and population. Standard results using the ARDL model showed the existence of a long-term equilibrium relationship between these variables and GDP, as it was found that government spending contributes positively to stimulating growth in the short term but loses its effectiveness in the long term, while tax revenues have a positive and significant impact in the short and long term. The results also showed that foreign direct investment has a temporary negative impact in the short term and then turns into a positive impact in the long term, while the impact of population growth was negative. The study confirms that fiscal policy plays an important role in supporting economic growth, but it requires more efficient direction towards productive investment and improved resource management to ensu re sustainable economic growth.
