This article addresses the topic of financial inclusion and its key indicators as applied in Algeria, highlighting its social and economic significance. The study investigates the main strategies and mechanisms implemented to improve financial inclusion, particularly within the framework of the economic and institutional reforms undertaken by the Algerian state between 2000 and 2022. The primary objective of this study is to assess the impact of financial inclusion on economic growth. To achieve this, the study employs the ARDL model. The empirical findings reveal a positive long-run effect of economic reforms, increased use of banking services, and improved geographical access to financial infrastructure, as well as institutional reforms (notably foreign direct investment), on GDP per capita. Conversely, the demographic distribution of financial services and governance indicators show a negative effect on GDP per capita.
