الملخص: تتنزلُ هذه المداخلةُ الموسومةُ بــ " دور نظرية الحالات لتشارلز فيلمور في فهم التعابير الثابتة" في سياق المثاقفةِ والتكاملِ بين المناهج اللّسانية الغربية والدّراسات الأدبية العربية. وهي تهدف إلى اختبار مدى قدرةِ الآلياتِ المنهجية التي وفرتها نظريةُ الحالات للساني تشارلز فيلمور في تدبّر نظام اشتغال التعابير الثابتة وفك شفراتها الدلالية، وذلك بالكشف عن أمرين اثنين: أوّلا بيان الوظائف الحقيقية لعناصر التّعابير الثّابتة وأدوارها الدّلالية في الحدث الذي يصفه التعبير بعيدا عن وظائفها النّحوية الكلاسيكية، ثمّ ضبط العلاقات الرابطة بين تلك العناصر ودورها في تشكيل المعنى المجازي، وثانيا الكشف عن السياقات الثقافية والمعرفية التي أفرزت تلك التعابير ولعبت دورا في فهم دلالتها المجازية. فالإشكالية المحورية هي: كيف يُساهم نحو الحالات في فهم شامل للتّعابير الثابتة التي تتسم غالبا بالغموض وتُلامس المجازَ؟. الكلمات المفتاحية: نظرية. تشارلز. فيلمور. التّعابير. الثّابتة. Abstract: the present paper, titled « The Role of Charles Fillmore’s Case Grammar in Construing Fixed Expressions,” comes at the crossroads between western linguistic approaches and Arabic literary studies. It aims at examining the contribution of Fillmore’s Case Grammar to understanding the functions of clichés and decoding their process of meaning making. The study has two objectives. First, it seeks to understand the actual functions of the el-ements of the fixed expression and the semantic frames they create in the event evoked by these expressions, apart from their traditional grammatical functions. It also aims at exploring the bonds linking these elements and their roles in the construction of semantic deviations described as figurative meaning. The second aim is to unravel the cultural and cognitive context from which these expressions evolve and their roles in understanding their figurative meaning. The central problematic is: in what ways does Case Grammar contribute to fixed expressions construal, their ambiguity and their figurative meaning
