2030. Abstract: The adoption of Predictive Artificial Intelligence (PAIA) applications is increasingly recognized as a strategic imperative for enhancing maintenance efficiency in complex environments, particularly within the healthcare sector. While the direct positive effect of AI on Medical Building Maintenance Efficiency (MBME) is widely theorized, empirical evidence often shows inconsistent results, suggesting the presence of critical boundary conditions. Drawing on the Technology-Organization-Environment (TOE) framework and the concept of Organizational Readiness for Change (ORC), this conceptual paper proposes a theoretical model where Organizational Readiness (OR) significantly moderates the relationship between PAIA and MBME in Saudi hospitals. We argue that a high level of OR—encompassing technological infrastructure, human capital, process maturity, and governance—is essential for translating the potential of PAIA into tangible efficiency gains. The paper develops a set of theoretical propositions for future empirical testing and discusses the theoretical and practical implications for hospital administrators and policymakers in the context of Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030 healthcare transformation.
