This study aims to highlight the extent to which European institutions adopt the principles of social and environmental responsibility. To enrich our research paper, we conducted a field study on "British Petroleum" by collecting information regarding its adoption of this type of responsibility through its annual reports and other references. Among the most important results we reached is that the company under study adopts social responsibility principles by supporting the community in which it operates through providing scholarships, providing psychological support during disasters, and supporting refugees, in addition to training its employees and taking care of them psychologically and health-wise, as well as committing to its financial responsibilities towards stakeholders. Furthermore, the company applies its environmental responsibilities by reducing harmful emissions and attempting to reach net-zero, as well as investing as much as possible in renewable and nature-friendly energies.
