Authors : Brahim Haddad . Halima Bendjeddou .

Abstract

This study investigated the correlation between occupational stress and organizational climate among a sample of 50 employees at the Sonelgaz branch in Blida. Employing a descriptive-analytical approach, data were collected using the Occupational Stress Scale (Aich Tayeb) and the Organizational Climate Scale (Ashour Alouti). The study examined five key dimensions of organizational climate: structure, leadership, participation, communication, and the nature of work. Data were analyzed using SPSS (v.27), specifically utilizing Pearson’s correlation coefficient to test the hypotheses. The results indicated no statistically significant correlation between occupational stress and the overall organizational climate. Furthermore, no significant relationships were found between stress and any of the five specific sub-dimensions. Based on these findings, the study concludes with several practical recommendations aimed at enhancing the psychological well-being of employees and optimizing the organizational environment within the institution.
