Knowledge was and still is a fertile field for research and studies in various scientific and philosophical fields, as it received the attention of thinkers despite their different affiliations, including sociologists of knowledge who saw that knowledge is a social process that is produced and shared in a specific socio-historical and cultural context, and therefore cannot be explained apart from social life, as expressed by Karl Mannheim (1813-1947) in his works. Therefore, this paper aims to identify the contribution of Karl Mannheim in the search for the social determinants of knowledge, and try to derive the concept of knowledge sharing and understand it in the light of his ideas, by examining the most important issues he raised, which centered on the collective nature of knowledge, the social processes affecting it, and the role of social interaction in the formation of knowledge.
