Legal Mechanisms To Guarantee The Consumer's Right To Safe Food Under Algerian Legislation

Abstract
Summary: Consumers are always exposed to numerous risks that threaten their lives in various sectors, most particularly food-related risks which happened from the consumption of unsafe and contaminated food products, whether of animal, agricultural, or industrial origin. Consumers have the right to safe food that meets their needs. However, many risks exist at various stages of food production, posing a real threat to consumer health and life. Therefore, the Algerian legislator has established an arsenal of legal and regulatory framework, relying on different principles, mechanisms, and various devices concerning different sectors involved in food production, to avoid these food-related risks. Keywords: Safe food, consumer, food risks, protection, unsafe food. الملخص: يتعرض المستهلك لعديد المخاطر التي تهدد حياته باستمرار في مختلف المجالات، ومن أهمها المخاطر الغذائية التي تحدث بسبب استهلاك مواد غذائية غير آمنة وملوثة سواء كانت ذات مصدر حيواني او وزراعي أو صناعي. من حق المستهلك الحصول على غذاء آمن يلبي حاجياته، لكن هناك الكثير من المخاطر التي تحيط بمختلف مراحل إنتاج الغذاء والتي تشكل تهديدا حقيقيا على صحة وحياة المستهلك، لذا وضع المشرع الجزائري ترسانة قانونية وتنظيمية هامة، معتمدا على مبادئ وآليات وأجهزة مختلفة تخص مختلف القطاعات المتدخلة في إنتاج الغذاء من أجل تجنب هذه المخاطر الغذائية. الكلمات المفتاحية: غذاء آمن، المستهلك، مخاطر غذائية، حماية، غذاء غير آمن.
