This article is a comparative analysis of George Orwell’s Coming Up for Air and its two Arabic translations. The first translated book is "Assouod ila El-hawa (الصعود إلى الهواء)," and the second is “Houdna liltikat El-anfas (هدنة لالتقاط الأنفاس)." The work was carried out in two stages. Firstly, an analysis of the novel was presented, starting with the author's biography. Then, a summary of the novel and a discussion of the techniques of propaganda that Orwell employed in certain passages. Additionally, critical reading was conducted using characters, voices, intertextuality, and hedging. The novel and its two translated books were also the subject of paratextual study. In the final stage, the two Arabic translations were compared with the original work in English. The differences in translation were explained using the "Framework of Systematics of Designificative Tendencies", which helped understand how meanings are transformed or lost during the translation process. This method of comparison revealed the richness of the Arabic language.
