Authors : Gaid Latifa .

Abstract

Abstract: The "Blue Flag" is a global voluntary eco-label, certified by UNEP and UNWTO, and implemented in over 49 countries. This study aims to analyze the program’s implementation mechanisms and technical requirements. Using a descriptive-analytical approach, the study concludes that the Blue Flag serves as an effective environmental management tool beyond tourism promotion. It significantly contributes to preserving coastal ecosystems, enhancing water quality, and increasing environmental awareness, serving as a vital pillar for the sustainable development of beaches and marinas.
