Abstract

Abstract: This research implements a qualitative meta-analysis to synthesize comprehensive and contemporary theoretical frameworks governing human information seeking behaviors within the networked cyberspace environment. Addressing the epistemological gap between traditional, pre-digital behavioral models and modern algorithmic realities, the study executed a systematic query across premier academic databases, specifically Scopus, Web of Science, and EBSCO, covering the timeframe of 1995 to 2026. By applying rigorous inclusion criteria centered on conceptual relevance and qualitative rigor, a refined sample of core studies was subjected to systematic thematic coding and theoretical triangulation. The findings expose the requisite adaptations needed for traditional linear models to function within highly dynamic, algorithmic, and networked digital infrastructures. The resulting theoretical synthesis provides researchers with an updated conceptual toolbox for understanding and investigating contemporary digital information behavior, algorithmic literacy, and networked decision-making processes.
