This article examines the impact of emotional support in enhancing teaching and learning in online environments. Data was collected through questionnaires completed by teachers and students of Ecole Normale Supérieure (ENS) of Bouzareah. Both groups acknowledge the emotional challenges associated with teaching online. Due to difficulty focusing and technical issues, participants report feelings of isolation, demotivation, and anxiety. This implies that, unlike face-to-face classroom settings, online instruction may hinder social and emotional interactions. Participants stress how crucial emotional support is to raising student engagement and academic achievement. Students point out a gap between educational goals and practical applications. Also, the degree of emotional support varies based on teachers' professional and personal qualities. To foster better engagement for students’ outcomes in online settings, a more efficient approach to emotionally supportive practices is more than necessary.
