Abstract
Abstract Participatory democracy, a trend in democratic thought, combines the principle of consultativeness with a culture of discussion and engagement among citizens. This approach enables citizens to articulate their views and present a summary to legislators and decision-makers. The impact and contribution of participatory democracy vary, but it enhances the role of public affairs governance by facilitating direct engagement with authorities at local and national levels, ensuring informed decision-making that addresses the needs and concerns of the populace. ملخص: تمثل الديمقراطية التشاركية أحد الاتجاهات الحديثة في الفكر الديمقراطي، حيث تقوم على مبدأ التشاور وتعزيز ثقافة النقاش والتفاعل بين المواطنين بشأن القضايا العامة. ويتيح هذا النموذج للمواطنين التعبير عن آرائهم وصياغة مقترحاتهم في شكل خلاصات تقدم إلى المشرعين وأصحاب القرار ورغم تباين مستويات تأثير الديمقراطية التشاركية ودرجات المساهمة فيها، إلا أنها تسهم بفعالية في تعزيز حوكمة الشأن العام من خلال إرساء آليات للتفاعل المباشر مع السلطات على المستويين المحلي والوطني، بما يضمن اتخاذ قرارات أكثر استنارة واستجابة لاحتياجات المجتمع وتطلعاته
