This quantitative study explores the impact of storytelling on the narrative writing skills of first- year EFL students at Larbi Ben M' Hidi University. Employing a quasi-experimental design, the study comprised an experimental group and a control group, with both groups evaluated on four key narrative elements before and after storytelling intervention. The results showed a significant improvement in the experimental group's post-test mean score (M=13.36) compared to the control group's mean score (M=11.00). Further analysis of the experimental group’s post-test performance revealed that the use of descriptive language received the highest mean score (M=4.4).
