Digital transformation in Arab societies is one of the most significant historical shifts of the twenty-first century, as it has transcended being a mere technical transition to become a comprehensive social phenomenon affecting societal structure, identity, relationships, and values. Digitization has reshaped concepts of time, space, and the self, creating new spaces for expression, participation, and digital citizenship. Simultaneously, however, it has deepened social and economic disparities and reproduced patterns of power and surveillance, plunging the Arab world into a state of a "double digital predicament" where promises of change coexist with forces of inertia. The analysis also highlighted that digital transformation in the Arab region is characterized by sharp disparities between countries, regions, and social groups, and overcoming this requires a critical sociological vision that places the human being at the heart of the digital process, linking technology with development and social justice.
