Journalism Ethics In The Quantum Era: An Academic Approach At The Intersection Of Journalism And Artificial Intelligence

Abstract
This study examines the ethics of what may be termed quantum journalism or AI-augmented journalism as a new extension of digital transformations in journalistic practice. It argues that the use of artificial intelligence tools in news gathering, data analysis, fact-checking, and content production creates important opportunities to improve speed, efficiency, and accuracy. At the same time, however, it raises serious ethical concerns related to transparency, accountability, algorithmic bias, privacy protection, and the limits of human oversight. The study contends that quantum journalism should not be understood as a replacement for journalists, but rather as a new technological environment that requires a redefinition of the human-machine relationship in the newsroom. It further maintains that the core ethical standard remains the safeguarding of journalistic truth and the prevention of automation from becoming a source of misinformation or public distrust. The study concludes that building a balanced ethical model for quantum journalism requires clear editorial frameworks, specialized training, flexible professional regulations, and effective human supervision, so that artificial intelligence serves journalistic quality rather than undermining it. يتناول هذا البحث أخلاقيات ما يمكن تسميته بالصحافة الكمية أو الصحافة المعززة بالذكاء الاصطناعي، بوصفها امتدادًا جديدًا لتحولات الممارسة الصحفية في العصر الرقمي. وتنطلق الدراسة من فرضية مفادها أن توظيف أدوات الذكاء الاصطناعي في جمع الأخبار، وتحليل البيانات، والتحقق من المعلومات، وصياغة المواد الصحفية، يتيح فرصًا مهمة لتحسين الكفاءة والسرعة والدقة، لكنه في المقابل يثير إشكالات أخلاقية عميقة تتعلق بالشفافية، والمساءلة، والتحيز الخوارزمي، وحماية الخصوصية، وحدود الإشراف البشري. وتجادل الدراسة بأن الصحافة الكمية لا ينبغي أن تُفهم بوصفها بديلًا للصحفي، بل باعتبارها بيئة تقنية جديدة تتطلب إعادة تعريف العلاقة بين الإنسان والآلة داخل غرفة الأخبار. كما تؤكد أن المعيار الأخلاقي الأساس يظل هو صون الحقيقة الإخبارية، وضمان عدم تحوّل الأتمتة إلى مصدر للتضليل أو إضعاف الثقة العامة. وتخلص الدراسة إلى أن بناء نموذج أخلاقي متوازن للصحافة الكمية يقتضي أطرًا تحريرية واضحة، وتدريبًا متخصصًا، وتشريعات مهنية مرنة، وإشرافًا بشريًا فعّالًا، بما يضمن توظيف الذكاء الاصطناعي في خدمة الجودة الصحفية لا في تقويضها.
