Abstract: The homeland holds a great place in every human soul, and whenever a person finds themselves distanced from it — whether due to compulsion or particular circumstances — they remain constantly longing for it and carrying it within their heart and being. The poet is considered among the most deeply attached individuals to their homeland and places, as this attachment manifests through the poet’s emotions, experiences, and visions. Arab history has always reflected this attachment in images of longing, nostalgia, and weeping over lost homes, not merely as expressions of sorrow or regret, but as symbols of deep emotional and spiritual connection. Hence, it is natural that the Algerian poet also falls captive to this attachment, revealing feelings of loss, exile, and nostalgia through his poetry.
