The Influence Of Csr Disclosure On Share Prices An Empirical Study Of Commercial Banks Listed On Borsa Istanbul

Abstract

This study investigates the impact of social and environmental CSR disclosure on the share prices of commercial banks listed on Borsa Istanbul. Using a descriptive-analytical approach, the study examines the entire population of twelve listed banks, analyzing disclosure data from 2023 and its relation to 2024 share prices. Statistical results from correlation and regression analyses show that while banks maintain good disclosure levels, these disclosures have no statistically significant impact on share prices. With p-values exceeding the 0.05 threshold, the study fails to reject the null hypotheses. These findings suggest a gap in investor perception regarding the importance of non-financial data in stock valuation, highlighting the need for better communication strategies to emphasize the value of social and environmental practices.
