Abstract : is study focuses on waterborne and zoonotic diseases and the significant risks they pose to human health and safety. These diseases are among the most important issues to have benefited from a legislative framework and constitutional status, beginning with Article 63 of the 2020 Algerian Constitution, which explicitly stipulates the State's responsibility for the prevention of infectious and epidemic diseases, thus demonstrating the efforts made by the executive and legislative branches to establish a comprehensive legal framework. In this context, the role of the various central and local authorities in monitoring the fight against waterborne and animal diseases is evident. The study observes the progressive evolution of the legal framework adopted by public authorities in this area, and it focuses on analyzing the regulatory texts applied in Algeria to prevent and combat these risks.
