Tijaniya The order has formed a fundamental pillar in strengthening the bonds of communication between the Algerian people and many other peoples. This is thanks to the attractive cultural and spiritual elements that this order possesses in Algeria, represented by the Tijaniya centers across the Algerian Sahara in Ain Madhi, Timacine, Guemar, Boussemghoun, and other centers, and the mother zawiyas they contain. It also has a close relationship with the various branches and zawiyas of the order in the African continent and beyond, which has facilitated building bridges of communication with different countries through these branches and the visits of the order's successors to them on various occasions, as well as the adoption of the principles of the order by scholars, jurists, and politicians in many countries of the aforementioned continent. This connection has transformed Algeria, thanks to the Tijani heritage, into a destination for visitors, tourists, and followers seeking the Tijani centers of Ain Madhi (the seat of the Caliphate), Timacine, Guemar, and Boussemghoun. These places possess spiritual symbolism and religious landmarks (zawiyas, mosques, shrines, etc.), as well as immense cultural potential stemming from the ancient palaces that comprise these centers, scattered across beautiful desert oases. The zawiyas, sources of knowledge and learning, offer researchers and students rare manuscripts and valuable resources in various fields of knowledge. The spiritual and cultural dimensions of the Tijaniya order can be invested in developing the spiritual tourism sector in Algeria.
