- This paper focuses on understanding how biased automated decisions controlled by Artificial Intelligence (AI) systems and algorithms impact the acceptance, reception, residence, and deportation of immigrants and refugees in some preferred migration destinations. It concludes that if the human agent is not neutral during the programming or data input into AI systems and algorithms related to migration, these automated decisions do indeed have the potential for bias and discrimination against immigrants and asylum seekers, thereby potentially violating international agreements and charters related to human rights.
