This study examines the impact of multilingualism on entrepreneurship in the Katangese Copperbelt of the Democratic Republic of the Congo, a region characterized by significant linguistic diversity and intensive mining activity. Using a qualitative approach based on field observations and interviews, it aims to map the languages used in business interactions and analyze their role in both local and cross-border entrepreneurial practices. By highlighting the strategic use of languages, this research contributes to a better understanding of economic dynamics in African extractive contexts, which remain underexplored from a linguistic perspective.
