Cyber Power: The Nature Of Actors And Types Of Conflict

Abstract

Digital technological impact has transformed the concept of power in international conflict, as cyberspace has become a new arena for wars, changing the concept of national security to focus on protecting the state’s information infrastructure. States have shifted from traditional threats to conflicts with different tools and means, and new actors. This shift has been reflected in the practice of power, as conflict has become focused on technological competition, opening alternative forms of warfare that require multilateral alliances, thus increasing the interconnectedness of technology and security.
