Algerian Food Security Challenges In The Face Of Climate Change

Authors : Omrane Dalila Batoul Manal .

Abstract

Abstract: Algeria, like other countries around the world, faces significant challenges in food security. These challenges are exacerbated by accelerating climate change, which directly impacts agricultural production and water availability. The Algerian government is working to implement climate change adaptation strategies to achieve food security. These strategies include developing sustainable agriculture, enhancing water resource management, encouraging the use of modern agricultural technologies, and working to diversify food sources. Despite the significant challenges Algeria faces in achieving food security, there are opportunities to overcome them through investment in research and development, strengthening international cooperation, supporting farmers, and raising public awareness of the importance of food security
