The Role Of Sport In Documenting The Algerian Cause

Abstract
There is no doubt that the leaders and free men of the Algerian resistance employed every possible means to fight French colonialism and to express, by all available avenues, their demand for independence and self-determination. This study aims to highlight the role of sports in documenting the Algerian cause during the liberation revolution and in utilizing it as a tool of resistance against the oppressive French occupation. Moreover, it seeks to show how sports served as a means to convey the voice of the glorious revolution to the international public opinion, with the objective of raising awareness about the Algerian cause and mobilizing broader support for it.
