English has become a global medium of communication, increasing the demand for learners to develop effective speaking skills, especially in academic and professional settings. Public speaking, however, remains a major challenge for many students, who often struggle with anxiety, lack of confidence, and linguistic limitations. This study explores the potential of TED Talk videos as authentic materials to support the development of Master One students’ public speaking skills at Tlemcen University. Using an exploratory qualitative approach, data were gathered through questionnaires and teacher interviews. Results indicate that TED Talks can reduce performance anxiety, enhance confidence, and improve speech organisation. The study underscores the pedagogical benefits of integrating digital resources into EFL oral expression classes.
