The multidimensional sources of psychological stress (professional, organizational, social, and physiological) faced by pilots in high-risk environments contribute to an increased psychological burden resulting from a complex cognitive-emotional interaction. Critical institutional gaps emerge, including the absence of regular psychological assessments, inadequate psychological training within pilot education programs, and a professional culture that resists acknowledging psychological stress. This study interprets psychological stress through the interactional perspective, emphasizing the interplay between environmental and personal factors as key determinants of stress. The Meichenbaum Stress Inoculation Training (SIT) model—comprising its three stages: conceptualization, skill acquisition, and application—is adopted as an effective intervention framework. This model enhances cognitive and emotional coping strategies as a proactive preventive approach, thereby contributing to improved psychological well-being among pilots..
