الملخص

نعرض من خلال هذه الورقة العلمية أهم الرؤى الفكرية عند الشيخ عبد العزيز الثعالبي كونه أحد أهم أعمدة الإصلاح بتونس خلال القرن العشرين، ونركز على الجانب السياسي للشيخ والذي تأثر بشكل مباشر بالظاهرة الاستعمارية أو ما عرف بنظام الحماية بتونس، إذ يبين لنا الثعالبي أبعاد هذا الوجود الاستعماري ويجرده من المثالية التي ادعتها المدرسة الكولونيالية والتي راحت تبرر الفعل الاستعماري، وتتطرق أيضا هذه الورقة لقضية الحضارة والتحضر البعيدة كليا عن حركة الاستعمار، ونبين في المحور الأخير التجربة الدستورية للشيخ والأبعاد الفكرية كمسألة النخبوية والعمل الوحدوي الذي سعى لتحقيقه. Abstract: This research paper presents the key intellectual visions of Sheikh Abdelaziz Thaalbi, regarded as one of the foremost pillars of the reform movement in Tunisia during the twentieth century. The study focuses primarily on the political dimension of Thaalbi’s thought, which was directly influenced by the colonial phenomenon, known as the Protectorate System in Tunisia. Thaalbi exposes the true nature of the colonial presence, stripping it of the idealism promoted by the colonial school, which sought to legitimize colonialism. The paper also addresses the question of civilization and modernity, which, according to Thaalbi, stand entirely apart from the colonial enterprise. In the final section, we examine the constitutional experience of the Sheikh, shedding light on the intellectual foundations of his political project, including his elitist perspective and unifying vision, which he persistently sought to realize.
