Authors : Raouan Mohmed .

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to understand how school sports can contribute to reducing violence, whether verbal, physical or symbolic, as well as social problems such as smoking, drug abuse and maintaining physical health in schools. To achieve this, a questionnaire containing 24 questions was prepared for secondary school physical education and sports teachers. After conducting a statistical analysis of the answers, it was found that school sports have significant benefits, as they allow students to invest their free time in a way that meets their interests as well as the interests of society and the environment. Therefore, school sports contribute to meeting students' social and psychological needs, such as the desire to make friends, enhance self-esteem, and help them cope with anxiety problems and psychological disorders.
