Abstract
This study seeks to shed light on the new meanings and implications of political participation in societies in light of the knowledge explosion and technological development among Algerian youth in general, and students in particular. This is evident in the increasing use of social media platforms and the increasing messages broadcast and disseminated through them, particularly with regard to promoting/weakening the values of citizenship and active participation in various community activities. The study adopted a descriptive and analytical approach, relying on a questionnaire as a method within the survey methodology. This is a method of data collection that aims to systematically and uniformly motivate participants to present specific facts and opinions related to a specific topic. This is to identify indicators and implications of political participation among Algerian youth in the digital age, particularly in light of the rapid spread and use of social media among Algerian students.
