Reimagining Education In The Age Of Ai: Digital Literacy, Decolonization, And The Work Ahead

Abstract

The greatest challenge in higher education is not AI itself but the mindset surrounding it. I suggest that by reimagining how we approach knowledge production, communication, and access, AI can be used not to replace human judgment but to strengthen collaboration, creativity, communication, and critical thinking while also serving as a tool for decolonizing education. I share concrete ways educators can integrate AI responsibly to surface marginalized perspectives, foster equity, and build the digital literacy students need for an AI-driven world.
