Abstract

This study aims to analyze the interactions between economic openness, trade risk, and non-hydrocarbon exports in Algeria. We applied the regression method for the period from 1995 to 2024. The results clearly suggest that economic openness exacerbates trade risk in Algeria and negatively influences non-hydrocarbon exports in the country. The study also suggests that structural competitiveness improves the performance of non-oil exports and that a consistent devaluation policy stimulates exports.
