This article examines the function of international commercial arbitration in bolstering legal security and fostering foreign investments in Algeria. In its endeavor to diversify beyond hydrocarbons, Algeria has enacted Law No. 22-18, which encompasses changes such as the establishment of the Algerian Investment Promotion Agency and the use of digital platforms to enhance transparency. The paper underscores the complexities in investment dispute settlement, as national courts emphasize sovereignty while investors pursue neutrality, frequently via arbitration. It contends that international arbitration offers a just, efficient, and impartial process for dispute resolution, hence enhancing investor trust. Algeria's adherence to international agreements such as the New York and Washington Conventions enhances its attractiveness as an investment locale. The document advocates for legal reforms, heightened openness, and improved international collaboration to foster arbitration and draw increased foreign investment.
