This paper aims to highlight the pivotal role of the university professor in ensuring the success of managerial digital transformation within Algerian universities, particularly in light of the Ministry of Higher Education’s adoption of digital platforms such as Moodle and the generalization of blended learning. Despite the significant progress in digital infrastructure and the increasing rates of use, the success of this transformation remains dependent on the extent to which university professors are digitally and pedagogically trained and empowered. Their role is no longer limited to knowledge transmission but has evolved into promoting digital culture and leading change toward a smarter, more efficient, and transparent university. Therefore, investing in the digital qualification of professors constitutes the cornerstone of the success of the digital transformation project in Algerian higher education.
