Abstract
This research paper aims to show the role of using Information and Communication Technologies in the public sector as a mechanism for reforming and modernizing the Algerian public sector and its services in the light of embodying the principles of the new public management. Therefore, we will try through this research paper to study the impact of The New Public Management Movement in the Public Sector through ICT. To conclude, the majority recent reforms, under the influence of the New Public Management, have been driven by a combination of factors that led to the pursuit of efficiency and reduced the cost of providing public services. Also, Public sector reforms remain an integral part of government’s efforts to modernize the public service through e- administration projects.
