ترجمة مقامات الحريري والتحديات اللغوية: نظر في ترجمة مايكل كوبرسون

الملخص
ملخص ينظر هذا البحث في قضية العصي على الترجمة فيحاول سبرها نظريا ثم تطبيقيا بتحليل مظاهر منها في ترجمة مقامات الحريري ل"مايكل كوبرسون". وانطلاقا من الجهود النظرية لبعض المنظرين والفلاسفة يتبيّن أن تجربة التعامل مع مستوى ما لا يقبل الترجمة تكاد تلامس جوهر العملية برمتها. وتمثّل محاولة " كوبرسون" علامة في تاريخ المحاولات لترجمة مقامات الحريري كونها استطاعت تجاوز الكثير من صعوبات الترجمة باعتماد إستراتيجية ذكية تنفذ داخل روح النص العربي وتتحاور معه. كشف تحليل بعض الأمثلة من ترجمة "كوبرسون" عن حيل ترجمية منها الاشتغال على التنويعات على اللسان الإنجليزي وتكثيف اللهجات والاستعمالات اللغوية المحلية ومنها كذلك الاقتباسات والإحالات على نصوص من الأدب العالمي بحيث تبدو المقامات الحريرية نصا مفتوحا على سياقات أدبية غير عربية. الكلمات المفاتيح: مايكل كوبرسون- العصي على الترجمة- التوطين – التغريب- مقامات الحريري- Abstact: This research examines the issue of untranslatability, attempting to explore it theoretically and then practically by analyzing aspects of it in Michael Cooperson’s translation of Al-Hariri’s Maqamat. Based on the theoretical efforts of some theorists and philosophers, it becomes clear that the experience of dealing with the untranslatable level almost touches on the essence of the entire process. Cooperson's attempt represents a landmark in the history of attempts to translate Al-Hariri's Maqamat, as it was able to overcome many of the translation difficulties by adopting an intelligent strategy that is implemented within the spirit of the Arabic text and engages with it. An analysis of some examples from Cooperson's translation reveals translation tricks, including the use of variations in the English language, the intensification of local dialects and linguistic usages, as well as quotations and references to texts from world literature, such that Al-Maqamat Al-Hariri appears as a text open to non-Arabic literary contexts.
