The year 2014 marked a major turning point in Iraq’s modern history, as the state faced the most serious threat to its security and territorial integrity following the invasion of one-third of its lands by ISIS. This crisis directly impacted Iraq’s foreign policy. In this context, relations with Egypt and Jordan gained importance: the former representing political, cultural, and demographic weight, and the latter representing Iraq’s vital geographic and economic extension. This research aims to examine the trajectory of Iraqi–Egyptian and Iraqi–Jordanian relations after 2014, by analyzing the political, security, economic, and regional factors that shaped them, while highlighting the challenges faced and the future prospects of trilateral cooperation. The study applies a descriptive-analytical approach in addition to a comparative method between the cases of Egypt and Jordan. The research concludes that Iraq’s relations with Egypt and Jordan are no longer governed solely by circumstantial considerations but have moved towards establishing a strategic framework of cooperation, as reflected in the trilateral summits since 2019, despite persisting challenges of terrorism, regional pressures, and economic project delays.
