Financial Liberalization Under Governance Constraints: Assessing Corruption Control In Algeria

Abstract

This study examines how corruption control affects Algeria’s banking sector depth using the IMF’s Financial Depth Index and an ARDL model, considering governance and key macroeconomic variables. Findings highlight a complex interaction between governance reforms and financial development.
