Abstract

In recent years, the world has observed a notable proliferation of non-constructive behaviors on social media platforms, particularly among content creators. Many of these behaviors are marked by a disregard for the religious and ethical systems that form the foundational principles of societal upbringing. This issue is especially pronounced in Libyan society, where these systems serve as essential frameworks for guiding social behavior. This study aims to investigate the anticipated role of social specialists in addressing unconstructive content on social media, with an emphasis on the function of the Community Service and Environment Office, recently established in various Libyan university faculties. The significance of this office lies in its engagement with the youth demographic, which constitutes the largest segment within universities and represents the primary catalyst for societal progress. The research endeavors to identify key insights that underscore the contributions of social specialists in mitigating the prevalence of unconstructive behaviors on social media and to develop strategies for enhancing their role in this regard.
