Comparative Literature In The Digital Age: From Identity Crisis To Epistemological Renewal

Authors : Lakhdar Ezzine Hadjer .

Abstract

Comparative literature, long navigating between transdisciplinary openness and methodological rigor, is today redefined by the digital turn. This article explores how digital technologies, considered both as tools and as objects of study, reshape the field: from the reconfiguration of corpora to the articulation of qualitative and quantitative approaches, as well as the ethical issues they raise. Rather than signaling a disciplinary crisis, this evolution offers a chance for critical renewal, on the condition that hermeneutic precision remains central.
